Penketh
Penketh a civil parish and Suburb of Warrington that lies to the west of Warrington about 1.6 miles outside of the town centre.
Penketh previously part of Prescot is now a Ward of Warrington and has become a parish in its own right.
Penketh was mainly agricultural land until the early 19th centery when the crossing for the river Mersey was in place for fiddlers ferry power station.
Penketh now is largely residential suburban area. The famous fiddlers ferry is still situated just west of Penketh and is still operational today!
